SEATTLE – June 2, 2008 – Door to Door, (www.doortodoor.com), a leading national provider of portable self-storage and moving, announced that it has donated the use of storage containers to City Year Boston for its Serve-a-thon on June 7. The containers will hold supplies and equipment to be used for location improvements.
Door To Door is donating all transportation and rental fees on a total of six containers. There will be two containers on-site at the Dorchester, Massachusetts YMCA, two on-site at St Peter's Church in Boston, one on-site at St Columbkille Elementary School, and another on-site at the Greenwood Shalom Community Outreach Center located in Dorchester.
“We have many volunteers working hard to make the June 7 Serve-a-thon the most successful event in our history,” said Cristina A. Gomez, Operations Manager—Serve-a-thon, City Year Boston. “The donated containers from Door To Door Storage will greatly help us to ensure that we have supplies where needed so volunteers can be more efficient as they improve the locations we will be working on.”
City Year Boston is a division of City Year (www.cityyear.org).
